National Centre for Independent Living (NCIL)

NCIL is a not for profit organisation that is run and controlled by disabled people. Its membership consists of individual disabled people and organisations. NCIL’s primary aim is to promote independent living. This means disabled people having control and choice over our own lives. The organisation gives support and information around direct payments and individual budgets but also does some consultancy work and has provided plenty of resources, newsletters and various toolkits on their website.
